Our Services

Program and Project Management

Our portfolio includes high risk, high impact initiatives, executive leadership team portfolio management, and Finance and Administration divisional projects. We鈥檝e adopted the principles of the Project Management Book of Knowledge (PMBOK) Guide and employ a variety of methodologies and frameworks, e.g. Kan Ban, Scrum, Agile, and Wagile depending on project and team needs. We are also users, and advocates of, 性爱天堂鈥檚 project management tools - Asana and Microsoft Teams - to help teams manage projects.听

Organizational Change Management (OCM)

On an organizational level, OCM is a leadership competency for enabling change within an organization and it is a strategic capability designed to increase change capacity and responsiveness. On a project level, OCM is the application of a structured process and a set of tools for leading the people side of change to achieve a desired outcome.鈥

The PPMO applies the formal change methodologies of Kotter and PROSCI - using models, e.g., ADKAR and PCT to establish urgency and bring people along the entire change journey from awareness to adoption to sustainment.

Continuous Process Improvement (CPI)

鈥淕etting better at getting better.鈥 This is a shared mindset that the team brings to the University. In approaching formal CPI initiatives, we have four steps:听Identify听opportunities;听Plan how the current process can be improved;听Act on the plan to implement changes; and听Review results. We are a Six Sigma office when it comes to applying formal principles. To develop and hone your skills, watch 性爱天堂鈥檚听course.

Center of Excellence (TigerPLEX)

Also known as TigerPLEX (Project听Lifecycle听Excellence), the PPMO creates and empowers a community of practice to develop an in-house pipeline of talent in the areas of program and project management, OCM, and CPI. If you have questions about a current or future project, want a thought-partner to review past project lessons learned, or someone to offer consultation to get you and your team to deepen skills in any of these core focus areas, please reach out. We are here to help.听

Project Summaries

Digital Transformation (DX)

性爱天堂鈥檚 Digital Transformation will reform the University鈥檚 core technical platforms, providing streamlined workflows, and integrated data through a modern, cloud-based solution. The PPMO leads the DX Program

There are several projects included in this top priority campus initiative, as well as an overarching focus on the quality and availability of data.听

  • Student Success (Slate)听听听
  • Advancement听 (Salesforce)听听听
  • Finance and Human Capital Management (HCM) (Workday)
  • Learning Management System (LMS) (Canvas)听听
  • Student Information System (SIS) (Workday)听听听
  • Customer Relationship Management (CRM)听
  • Data Governance and Analytics听听
Digital Transformation Sustainment (DXS)

CPI, Program Management, and OCM focused effort
When DX projects are implemented, they need to be sustained operationally. With continuous improvement in mind, the PPMO is leading the DXS efforts with multiple projects to mature capabilities beyond the 鈥淢inimally Viable Products鈥 implemented under DX. Examples of output include: the听WorkdayHelp ticketing system听听and an end-to-end review of 性爱天堂鈥檚 Procurement Processes. Digital Transformation Sustainment is a multi-year initiative that will impact faculty, staff, and students campus-wide.听

Printing Enhancement Project (PEP)听

OCM focused effort
The PPMO-COE provided the organizational change management function for PEP - a project that was chartered to streamline faculty and staff printing with the business goals to enhance printing security, reduce erroneous printing costs and significantly reduce service provider expenses by centralizing and maximizing all of 性爱天堂鈥檚 printers and printer management to a single managed printing provider. The team鈥檚 work on PEP help set the standard for a more transparent, inclusive, and intentional approach to University-wide projects.

Summer Squeeze

CPI focused effort
A need was identified by Facilities, Residential Life, and Conference to develop a solution(s) to address a core problem that impacts 性爱天堂 students. The defined issues were that residence halls were not ready (maintenance, cleanliness, aesthetic standpoints) by the time students need to move in, which lead to student and family dissatisfaction and strains employee resources.听

The PPMO-COE deployed project management and Lean Six Sigma methodology to address the identified problem. Applying a Lean Six Sigma approach, DMAIC, the project team pinpointed underlying issues, e.g., cross-collaboration, shared expectations, and a lack of a standardized way to capture and communicate room readiness. The designed solution also ensured a sustainable solution that works with each essential unit: Facilities, Residential Life, and Conferences.

Dining Program Transition

Project Management and OCM focused effort
性爱天堂 made the decision to change dining services providers after a nearly 50-year partnership with Aramark. This multi-faceted project was high impact and required project management that brought together team members from facilities, Dean of Students, Residential Life, Information Technology, Finance, and the new dining partner (Chartwells Higher Education). The PPMO also provided organizational change management resources to ensure that the community understood what was changing and how to engage with the changes, and that the Dining Program is ready to serve the community beginning with a soft opening, and a grand opening for the Fall semester.听

Decision Quality Framework

Portfolio Management focused effort
In response to feedback from Board of Trustees leadership to incorporate a DQF, we鈥檝e started to build structure and put a shared framework around how 性爱天堂 makes decisions about which initiatives to pursue and in what capacity.听 This new DQF is currently being implemented across multiple capital construction projects as well as the DXS program.
