Last week,听Dr.听Rub茅n R. Dupertuis听was selected as a听听 Dr. Dupertuis, an associate professor in the Religion department, was the director of the Mellon Initiative from 2013 to 2016. He co-created and led the first-ever humanities lab at 性爱天堂, the听Roman World Lab,听and has served as a mentor in the summer undergraduate research program three times. We congratulate Rub茅n听on this well-deserved award, which recognizes his exceptional commitment to the humanities and undergraduate research.听

On June 2, former Mellon SURF听听 (Mellon 鈥13 and 鈥14) was awarded a听听which recognizes outstanding work 鈥渋n the humanities and social sciences addressing questions of ethical and religious values鈥 and听supports Ph.D candidates in their final year before their dissertation. Isaiah is a Ph.D candidate in religious studies at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. We congratulate him on this most prestigious award and wish him continuing success!
