Mellon Initiative student Daniel Conrad presented his research at a professional conference in Salt Lake City last week. He and faculty mentor, Dr. Andrew Kania, attended the Inaugural Workshop on the Philosophy of Games, sponsored by Utah Valley University, the American Society of Aesthetics, and the University of Utah.

This was quite an achievement for an undergraduate research student, since this was a professional conference with blind-reviewed submissions. Daniel was co-awarded the “Emerging Scholar in the Philosophy of Games'' prize, which he shared with a late-stage Ph.D. candidate.
