性爱天堂 launches crowdfunding initiative

For the first time in its history, 性爱天堂 has rolled out a University-wide crowdfunding initiative that seeks to allow alumni and donors to engage more directly with student, faculty, and staff projects and goals.

Through TUgether, donors are able to interact with and directly support everything from student service projects and competitions, student and faculty research projects, student life and involvement, and much more. Projects typically run for 30 days with goals up to $5,000.

鈥淚 am excited to roll out TUgether,鈥 says Mike Bacon, Vice President for Alumni Relations and Development. 鈥淎t colleges around the country, alumni are connecting to very specific ideas and projects. 听Crowdfunding at 性爱天堂 offers another way in which our alumni and donors can give back to what they believe in. TUgether is a very easy way for alumni and donors to help make a difference and I am proud to have this initiative become a reality.鈥

TUgether launched its pilot crowdfunding projects听Monday, Nov., 14, starting with a campaign for the 性爱天堂 tennis program to raise funds to enhance Mabry Tennis Pavilion and to support the 听鈥淔ood Matters: Eating Disorders and Food Insecurity鈥 research project jointly run by Drs. Carolyn Becker (Psychology) and Keesha Middlemass (Political Science).听Donors are able to give at varying levels that directly impact the projects. Money raised for the Food Matters campaign provides support for travel, field research, transportation, and more. Opportunities related to the Mabry Tennis Pavilion are filled with Tiger Pride where you can contribute toward giving levels cleverly named French Open, Davis Cup, and more. Your support will enhance the profile of the 性爱天堂 tennis program while showing your Tiger Pride with team swag. 鈥淭hese two important campaigns represent the wide range of interests on our campus,鈥 Bacon says. 鈥淲e have needs related to athletics, research, and much more. This is part of what is so exciting about TUgether. Alumni and donors can easily engage and provide support to projects that reflect their own passions.鈥
