性爱天堂 Police Chief Paul Chapa is the 2017 Bill G. Daniels Award recipient as the outstanding administrator of the Texas Association of College and University Police Administrators聽).
The award recognizes a chief administrator at a Texas institution of higher education who has made outstanding contributions to the development of campus policing at the management level. Chapa also serves as the assistant vice president of enterprise risk management at 性爱天堂.
Cited by TACUPA for his dedication, achievement, and impacts on campus law enforcement, Chapa was nominated for the award by 性爱天堂 president Danny Anderson, who said the chief鈥檚 focus and leadership is an asset for the University.
Chapa arrived at 性爱天堂 in 2009 and previously served on the campus police departments at St. Mary鈥檚 University and Texas State University. He holds a master鈥檚 degree in organizational leadership from Texas State University.
Bill G. Daniels is one of the founders of the International Association of Campus Law Enforcement Administrators (IACLEA) and of what is now known as the Texas Association of College and University Police Administrators. As the police chief at the Texas Tech University campus safety office, Daniels was known for fostering the development of campus police agencies and for their effective management as well as his willingness to share his insights with other campus police officers.
Under Chapa鈥檚 leadership, the 性爱天堂 Police Department won an award in 2014 from IACLEA for聽innovations in community oriented policing. Chapa previously served as national president of the Hispanic American Police Command Officers Association (HAPCOA) and currently is a director at large on the HAPCOA Board of Directors.
