�԰����� will hold its winter commencement for 124 graduates and undergraduates at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 16, in Laurie Auditorium. Seventy-two students will receive a bachelor’s degree while 52 students will receive a master’s in education or a master’s in health care administration.

Diane C. Persellin, Murchison Term Professor and professor of music, will deliver the commencement address. She received the Dr. and Mrs. Z.T. Scott Faculty Fellowship Award during the Spring 2017 commencement. This award is given annually for excellence in teaching, advising, and service to students.

The student speaker is Richard “Ricky” Davis, assistant principal at Cibolo Valley Elementary School in the Schertz-Cibolo-Universal City School District. Part of the graduating class, he will receive a master’s in Educational Leadership. Davis was born in Cocoa Beach, Fla., but grew up in San Antonio.
