性爱天堂 Theatre Wins 14 Globe Awards
One production, Threepenny Opera, garnered 10 awards from the Alamo Theatre Arts Council

性爱天堂 Theatre has captured 14 awards during the annual Globe Awards ceremony sponsored by the聽.

Faculty, staff, and students received awards in every category in the college division except sound design, indicating a聽well-rounded program. One production, Threepenny Opera, was recognized with 10 awards.

鈥淭he breadth of the awards that our program won this year shows not only the talent of our faculty, staff, and students but also the strength of their vision of theatre being at the core of a liberal arts education,鈥 said Andrew C. Hansen, associate professor and chair of the Department of Human Communication and Theatre.

Michelle Bisbee, assistant visiting professor, Set Design

The awards evening was dedicated to John Igo 鈥48, who died earlier this year. He was named 性爱天堂鈥檚聽Distinguished Alumnus聽in 2001.

Susie P. Gonzalez helped tell 性爱天堂's story as part of the University communications team.
