�԰����� will host alumni and faculty at the 2016-17 Food for Thought Lecture Series. The series will feature a range of topics – from caring for aging parents to examining climate change in fiction and film to reading poetry.

Two Food For Thought lectures will be on the �԰����� campus and two will be held at San Antonio restaurants. Prices for each lunch are listed below, although a series subscription can be purchased for the discounted price of $80.

The dates, speakers, and topics for the Food For Thought series are:

• Friday, Oct.7 – Jim Comer ’66, “The Joys and Jolts of Caregiving: Parenting Your Aging Parents,” from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., Fiesta Room, Coates University Center, �԰�����. Lunch included, $20. Free parking will be available across from the University at Alamo Stadium.
• Wednesday, Nov. 9 – Heather Sullivan, professor of Modern Languages and Literatures, “Climate Change in International Fiction and Film,” 5:30 to 7 p.m. Skyline Room, �԰�����. Dinner included, $20. Free parking will be available across from the University at Alamo Stadium.
• Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2017 – Cabral Balreira, associate professor of mathematics, and Jacob Tingle, co-director of the Center for Experiential Learning and Career Success, “Projecting Results of Competitive Sports and March Madness,” 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., Silo @ 1604, 434 North Loop 1604 West, Dinner included, $30. • Thursday, April 6, 2017  – Jenny Browne, associate professor of English and San Antonio Poet Laureate, and Tom Payton, director of the �԰����� Press, “”�԰����� Reads Poetry!” from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., Paloma Blanca Mexican Cuisine, 5800 Broadway #300. Dinner included, $20.
