�԰�� to Honor Two Outstanding Alumnae

University graduates have excelled as young professors and as adviser to Greek student organizations

Two �԰�� alumni will be honored for their outstanding contributions to the campus and beyond at a luncheon on Tuesday, Nov. 8.

Susan Todd ’05, executive director for 504 HealthNet, will receive the 2016-2017 Outstanding Young Alumna Award and Amy Turlington Chambers ‘89 will receive the Greek Alumni Adviser of the Year Award.

As executive director for , Todd brings a unique blend of expertise in the area of primary care access and strengthening health systems. Previously, she served as an analyst at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and participated as a member of the White House Initiative Strong Cities, Strong Communities.

She also has worked for NASA as a scuba diver assisting in spacewalk training for astronauts and taught English in Argentina. She earned a bachelor’s in international studies from �԰�� and went on to earn a Master's of Public Affairs from the Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs at the University of Texas. She is originally from Baton Rouge, La.

Amy Turlington Chambers ‘89

Turlington Chambers is a native of Fort Worth, Texas. Following her graduation from �԰�� in 1989, she has worked as a property tax consultant, a development coordinator for the county hospital in Fort Worth, and is currently the academic program manager at the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine (TCOM) at the University of North Texas Health Science Center (UNTHSC).

Turlington Chambers pledged Zeta Chi sorority in the spring of 1986. In 2005, as Zeta Chi was celebrating its 25th anniversary, she volunteered to help the actives get the word out to the alumnae. The turnout was great, and since then she has been their alumna adviser - first, in an unofficial capacity, and more recently, officially, as the �԰�� Blueprint has been implemented.
