Making Connections, 性爱天堂鈥檚 signature nationwide event connecting current students with alumni for career networking and advice, is going digital for 2021.
Typically, Making Connections events are held across the country during the months of December and January, offering opportunities for select Alumni Chapter cities to host students while they are home for the winter break. But as this school year has already proven鈥攏othing remains 鈥渢ypical.鈥
This year, Making Connections pivots to an online-only format and aims to facilitate industry-specific connections rather than location-specific ones. It鈥檚 no secret that 性爱天堂 students use their liberal arts backgrounds to enter almost every imaginable professional industry; around 25% of them even go on to start businesses of their own. Alumni, students, and parents are invited to join these virtual events and connect with each other.
鈥淢aking Connections lets students take what they鈥檝e learned in an academic setting and apply it to professional networking practice,鈥 says Sidney Lopez, Young Alumni and Student Programs Coordinator in the Office of Alumni Relations. 鈥淲hile it may look a little different this year, we鈥檙e hoping students will take the same things from the events that they were able to in-person: meeting alumni, learning more about their industries, and facilitating meaningful dialogue.鈥
