J. Richard Jones
J. Richard Jones, professor emeritus and the former George R. Brown Distinguished Professor of Business Administration, died May 17 in San Antonio. He was 76 years old.

Jones joined the faculty in 1981, teaching marketing, business research, and marketing management courses. He served as chair of the Department of Business Administration from 1985 to 1991. Prior to 性爱天堂, Jones was a Distinguished Professor of Transportation at Memphis State University where his principal teaching and research focus was transportation management, logistics systems, and policy alternatives. He also taught at the University of Georgia and the University of Houston.聽

Jones served as a transportation economist and special assistant to the assistant secretary at the United States Department of Transportation, where he designed and conducted research projects on the nation鈥檚 transportation system. In addition, he consulted and provided executive development to number of companies and organizations, including Consad Research Corporation and the Small Business Administration.

Active professionally, he served on the boards of a number of organizations, including the Board of Editors of the聽Journal of Business Logistics聽and the聽Journal of Marketing Theory and Practice. Jones published extensively in professional journals throughout his career on major issues related to transportation systems and costs, marketing, airline deregulation and commuter airline service, and the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA).

Jones retired from 性爱天堂 in 2007.
