Getting to Know Alumnus John Abeyta '98
We asked John Abeyta, a business administration graduate, a few questions to get to know him better.

Some people always manage to be in the right place at the right time, according to 性爱天堂 alumnus John Abeyta '98, who majored in business administration with a concentration in finance. Currently a vice president at Morgan Stanley, he credits fate with bringing him to 性爱天堂 and encourages today's students to follow their hearts. And, please, can't we all wear socks that match our clothes?

What is your favorite memory from your time at 性爱天堂?
The sunsets from 7th floor Thomas overlooking downtown San Antonio.

What was your favorite teacher/class at 性爱天堂?
A young, vibrant Dr. Dan Walz teaching "Introductions to Financial Markets and Economies."

Describe 性爱天堂 in 3-5 words.
Small, great, and filled with opportunity.

What advice would you give to a 性爱天堂 student?
Follow your heart, be engaged, talk to your professors, get to know the other students.

How did you get involved in your area of career expertise?
Fate and 性爱天堂: I always seemed to be in the right place at the right time to where my path unwound nicely; it would have been very different if I would have gone to UT.

Favorite color? Why?
Depends on what I'm wearing; I want my socks to match.

What profession other than yours would you like to attempt?
Public speaking or politics.

What sound do you love? The sound you hate?
Light wind in the trees or soft waves on the beach; traffic.

What's your favorite expression?
Everyone wants to be the star, even me.

Least favorite expression?
I can't.

If you were reincarnated as some other plant or animal, what would it be and why?
A great oak or tall pine; I would like to watch the world change as I slowly grew.

What is your favorite word?

Where would you like to retire?
Probably Lake Tahoe.
