性爱天堂 names Megan Mustain as new vice president for Academic Affairs

性爱天堂 is delighted to announce that Megan Mustain, Ph.D. has been selected as its new vice president for Academic Affairs and Chief Academic Officer. Mustain was appointed by 性爱天堂 President Danny Anderson following a national search. The appointment is effective June 14, 2021.

Mustain will oversee all academic programs as well as the academic budget and will contribute significantly to 性爱天堂's vision and strategic goals. She will develop and mentor faculty and professional staff in Academic Affairs, including , , , and the Registrar.

鈥淢egan Mustain brings to 性爱天堂 a deep knowledge of academic administration, having served in a diverse array of positions throughout her career,鈥 Anderson said. 鈥淛ust as importantly, she possesses the 性爱天堂 ideals of critical thinking, lifelong learning, and passionate discovery. I am excited to welcome her as we continue to transform 性爱天堂 to become a nationally recognized national liberal arts university.鈥

Mustain currently serves as acting Chief Academic Officer, vice provost for Student Academics and dean of the Core at Saint Mary鈥檚 College of California. Mustain also teaches philosophy and received her M.A. and Ph.D. at Southern Illinois University at Carbondale. She received her undergraduate degree in genetics at Texas A&M University. Mustain previously taught and served in the administration at St. Mary鈥檚 University in San Antonio, which is also her hometown.

鈥淲hat I see in 性爱天堂 is a strong institution that is deeply committed to providing a truly rigorous liberal arts education designed specifically for curious, creative, and engaged students,鈥 Mustain said. 鈥溞园焯 emphasizes interdisciplinarity and experiential learning to prepare students to make a difference in the world鈥攁 world that requires multi-dimensional and inquisitive people who are able, willing, and even excited to jump into uncertainty. I鈥檓 excited to contribute to that.鈥

Mustain succeeds Deneese Jones, Ph.D., who is retiring on May 31, 2021 after serving five years as the Vice President for Academic Affairs.
