The SW Gem and Mineral Society Endowed Geoscience Scholarship is an external award for exceptional geoscience majors.

听Eligibility

All qualified entering and transfer students are considered for academic merit scholarships.

A recalculated core GPA*, standardized test scores (optional) and other criteria are used to determine eligibility.听

Academic progress is reviewed at the end of each academic year.听

Academic scholarships recipients are selected without regard to income.

As undergraduates apply to the University, they are automatically considered for our full range of merit scholarships.

Undergraduate sophomore, junior, or senior students who are majoring in geosciences
听Who is not eligible:
Incoming first-year or graduate students

There is no application; students are selected and notified in the Spring.
