Pathways Curriculum

Students must complete the Pathways Curriculum in order to receive a baccalaureate degree.ÌýThe Pathways Curriculum has six curricular requirements, and three optional elements that provide the foundation in the liberal arts and sciences for all the bachelor’s degrees awarded by ÐÔ°®ÌìÌÃ. Through these requirements, students acquire the necessary skills and disciplinary perspectives to navigate complex questions at ÐÔ°®ÌìÌà and in their post-graduate lives.
Intro and General Chemistry
Fundamental concepts in the structure, thermodynamics, and kinetics of chemical systems, with emphasis placed on quantitative problem solving.
Organic Chemistry
Structures, properties, and reactions of carbon-based compounds, with an emphasis on mechanism and chemical synthesis.
Biochemistry
Structure and function of biological molecules, and an introduction to biochemical metabolism.
